Why Choose Art?
Taboo subjects and difficult messages can be particularly well served by paintings and historical images. A work of art can depict or subtly allude to an unpleasant situation such as a medical condition or distress, without turning off the viewer.
By keeping them one step away from reality the message is clear and can be enhanced. Equally images from mythology and political propaganda could be used to create a sinister atmosphere or more simply to provide connotations of raw power.
